鸢尾酮 又名6-甲基紫罗兰酮、6-甲基芷香酮。学名4-(2，5，6，6-四甲基-2-环己烯-l-基)-3-丁烯-2-酮。无色至淡黄色油状液体。有α-和β-两种异构体。在化妆品中用得较多的是α-异构体。分于量206.33。密度0.9358g/cm3。沸点248℃。折射率1.5013。几乎不溶于水。溶于油和醇。以1:4溶于70％乙醇。具有特有的类似鸢尾和紫罗兰的香气。 生产方法：主要采用合成法。以2，3-二甲基-2-庚烯-6-酮和乙炔为原料，经合成而得。也可从鸢尾根、复盆子、海桐花等天然原料中，经分离提取而得。 用途：酮类合成香料。是优良的紫罗兰香料，用作高级调合香料，用于香水、冷霜等化妆品及香皂等。
