《就业、利息、货币通论》《就业、利息、货币通论》TheGeneralTheoryofEmployment，InterestandMoney英国经济学家J.M.凯恩斯的著作。1936年出版。简称《通论》。1929年世界经济危机爆发后，资本主义经济陷于长期萧条状态，资产阶级传统经济学难以解释经济危机的现实。《通论》的发表，适应了垄断资本“医治”失业和危机的需要，引起西方经济学界的震动，其对西方经济学的影响被称为凯恩斯革命。《通论》全书分6篇24章。该书批评了以前经济学家的工资和就业理论，提出“有效需求”概念；阐述了预期、所得、储蓄、投资等定义；分析了消费倾向的主、客观因素，提出边际消费倾向概念和乘数理论；分析了资本边际效率、长期预期状态、灵活偏好与利率、资本性质、利息与货币的特征；分析了货币工资的改变、就业函数、物价；分析了商业循环、重商主义、禁止高利贷法、消费不足说等。凯恩斯在《通论》中抛弃传统经济学关于资本主义制度可以通过工资、利率的自由伸缩，使经济常处于充分就业状态的教条，提出有效需求不足以解释资本主义常处于小于充分就业的状态。他指出，有效需求是预期可给企业主带来最大利润量（也即总需求D在总需求函数与总供给函数相交时的值）的社会总需求，它包括消费需求和投资需求。由于边际消费倾向递减规律、资本边际效益递减规律和流动偏好规律的影响，造成有效需求不足，从而使就业量在未达到充分就业水平时就停止增加或趋于下降，形成大量失业，引致经济危机的爆发。为增加有效需求，必须由国家实行干预。《通论》侧重总收入、总需求、总供给、投资、消费、储蓄、就业水平、物价水平等总量之间相互关系的分析，奠定了现代宏观经济学的基础。《通论》对资本主义国家的经济政策有重要影响。凯恩斯追随者对《通论》进行了大量诠释、修补和发展，形成凯恩斯主义，在第二次世界大战后，占据西方经济学界的统治地位。70年代以后，资本主义经济中物价高涨和大量失业并存，形成“滞胀”，凯恩斯主义难以解释，更提不出可行的对策。《通论》所阐述的理论和政策失灵，反映了资本主义制度危机的加深。
