花坪国家级自然保护区花坪国家级自然保护区位于广西壮族自治区龙胜、临桂两县交界处，面积17400公顷，1961年经广西自治区人民政府批准建立，1978年晋升为国家级，主要保护对象为银杉及中亚热带常绿阔叶林。本区为南岭山地越城岭支脉的一部分，海拔多在1200-1600米，最高海拔1895.5米，地貌属中山类型。本区属亚热带季风气候，地带植被为典型常绿阔叶林，境内有高等植物1114种，属于国家重点保护的植物有12种。其中以银杉最为著名，银杉是仅产于我国的第三纪孓遗植物，现存数量不多，被列为国家一级重点保护植物，保护区分布有1000多株。本区野生动物资源也比较丰富，高等动物有118种，其中猕猴、林麝、红腹角雉等为国家重点保护动物。
