遥控技术对远距离的控制对象发送指令以实施控制的技术，也称指令遥控。遥控技术是在自动控制技术和通信技术基础上发展起来的。完成遥控任务的整套设备称遥控系统。遥控系统既可传送离散的控制信息（例如开关的通断），也可传送连续的控制信息（例如控制发动机油门大小）。一般用无线电信道传输控制信息（指令），如遥控距离较近或被控对象在低空飞行（如反坦克导弹），也可用光通信线路或有线电通信方法传输控制信息。19意大利人曾试验用无线电操纵飞机。第一次世界大战后，法国和德国相继试验遥控飞机。第二次世界大战期间，德、美、苏等国都使用过无线电操纵的轰炸机。50年代以后，世界各国相继开始研制和试验各种导弹和人造地球卫星，从此遥控技术在航天方面得到广泛的应用和发展。设备组成 遥控系统可分为飞行器遥控设备(系统)和地面遥控设备(系统)，它们一般由指令程序机构（或计算机）、传输设备和监测设备组成。①控制指令产生：根据预定状态数据和被控对象的实时数据，由操纵人员人工发出，或由程序机构或计算机自动产生各种控制指令。②传输设备：实质上是多路通信设备，能把指令信号送往远距离的被控对象。③监测设备：用以监测被控对象的状态和参数变化，使控制站及时了解控制效果。飞行器遥控系统中常用的监测手段有遥测、雷达、电视等。特点 航空航天遥控系统有下列一些特点：①飞行器上一般用低增益的全向性（或宽波束）天线。为保证远距离的飞行器在任何姿态下都能接收到指令，遥控系统的发射功率必须很大，而且采用有自动跟踪能力的高增益定向天线。②为了对飞行器实行实时控制，要求遥控系统有很大的指令容量（指令条数多）。传输设备常采用各种编码技术，以保证遥控系统具有抗干扰能力强和控制精度高的优点。③飞行器上的指令接收机能适应严酷的空间环境，并且体积小、重量轻、耗电少、可靠性和稳定性高（见航天测控系统、航天测控和数据采集网）。参考书目陈宜元等编：《遥控遥测信息传输原理》，国防工业出版社，北京，1982。
