像苏轼写的水调歌头这样的名篇，自然是少不了名家的翻译，流传度最广的还得是许渊冲老先生的译本了许渊冲：19生于江西南昌，北京大学教授，着名翻译家。在国内外出版中、英、法文译着一百余部，是中国诗词英法韵译的唯一专家。1999年他被提名为诺贝尔文学奖候选人，获得“中国翻译文化终生成就奖”，荣获国际翻译界最高奖项“北极光”杰出文学翻译奖。系首位获此殊荣的亚洲翻译家。
How long will the full moon appear?
Wine cup in hand, I ask the sky.
I do not know what time of the year
’Twould be tonight in the palace on high.
Riding the wind, there I would fly,

有时候译文再好，其实也无法代替原有的意境格律美，至少我认为《水调歌头》是给我这样的感觉。
