A council will debate a petition next month calling for it to "reject" the Duke and Duchess of Sussex"s titles after it was signed by more than 1,700 people. Campaigner Charles Ross proposed the motion that Prince Harry and Meghan"s titles are "morally wrong and disrespectful to the county of East Sussex" in July. It has since passed the 1,250 names required for discussion by Brighton and Hove City Council, and it will be presented at a meeting for debate on October 24. 话说哈里王子和梅根这对夫妇，从结婚前就一直争议不断，
到了今年，尤其是最近一段时间，英国民众对他俩的反感情绪不断升级，达到空前的高度，
前几天竟然曝出了民众请愿希望剥夺他俩头衔的消息........
今年7月，社会活动家Charles Ross在东萨塞克斯郡布莱顿-霍夫议会网站上发起一项请愿，
希望当地议会剥夺哈里和梅根的头衔，也就是“苏塞克斯公爵”和“苏塞克斯公爵夫人”的称号。
请愿书中写道：
“我们在这里签名请愿，是为了请布莱顿-霍夫议会拒绝哈里和梅根使用苏塞克斯公爵和苏塞克斯公爵夫人的头衔，因为他们道德缺失并且不尊重东萨塞克斯郡。”
“我们认为这些头衔是完全不民主的，象征着富裕阶级对公民的压迫。”
“（希望）布莱顿议会不再邀请或招待他们，也不要向他们提供任何超出普通公民的款待和礼遇。”
请愿的主旨总结起来就是：
哈里和梅根的头衔中带有“苏塞克斯”这个名字，他们的行为却让东萨塞克斯郡蒙羞，
必须把这个头衔拿掉，以后也不许东萨塞克斯郡再给他们任何特殊优待。
按照规定，请愿的签名人数达到1250人，当地议会就必须对此展开讨论，
这项请愿现在已经收集了超过1700个签名，远超规定人数，按理说议会必须给予回应，
不过哈里和梅根的头衔是他们结婚时女王亲自授予的，议会无权取消，
这项请愿其实达不到预期效果，没什么太大实际作用，
更多的是通过这种方式，表达民众们的强烈不满。
在媒体报道中，人们对于请愿持两种不同的态度，
有些人提出反对意见，
比如评价这项请愿“纯属浪费议会的时间”，称让地方议会取消王室头衔的行为“显然很荒谬”，
耐人寻味的是，反对大多只是觉得请愿起不到任何作用，而不是为了支持哈里和梅根。
另一方面，持支持态度的网友貌似更多。

哈哈棒棒哒。我知道（请愿）不会有啥效果，但至少能让哈里和梅根知道他们的行为有多不受待见。
其实，哈里和梅根已经不是第一次被民众签名请愿表达不满了，
在网上搜一下就能找到类似的请愿，内容大多是反对这对夫妇奢侈的生活方式，希望剥夺他们享受纳税人资助的特权，
但这些请愿要么签名还未达到规定人数，要么被否决，都没有激起特别大的水花。
再看这项“剥夺头衔”的请愿，主要是东萨塞克斯郡民众在表达不满，
去年10月3日，哈里和梅根曾拜访东萨塞克斯郡布莱顿，
当时围观群众都对他们非常热情友好，又是献花，又是握手，
到底是什么仇什么怨，让当地居民在不到一年时间里，对他们的态度来了个180度大转弯呢？
对英国王室稍有关注的人应该都知道，自打结婚之前哈里和梅根这对王室cp就一直伴随着争议。
首先是两人订婚到举行婚礼那段时间，梅根的爸爸、姐姐和她的多次口水战，让全世界都跟着看笑话；
其次是在婚后，梅根从穿着、举止到消费习惯、生活状态一直饱受诟病，
民众觉得她高调、铺张，不符合公爵夫人应有的形象，甚至觉得她把哈里王子都带跑偏了；
第三就是今年7、8月，哈里和梅根在11天内乘坐4次豪华私人飞机，造成的碳排放量远超普通英国民众，
尤其是哈里去参加一场环保主题聚会时也乘坐了私人飞机（聚会主办方付钱），
这一系列操作都与两人支持环保的形象相去甚远，民众认为他们虚伪、双标，狠狠把两人diss了一把，
这件事也让民众对两人的反感情绪达到新的高度。
而8月底媒体报道的一件事，更让哈里和梅根的境遇雪上加霜。
前段时间一直保持沉默的梅根爸爸，再次向媒体爆料，还形容女儿、女婿“虚伪”，
他爆料的“罪状”主要是以下几条：
一是梅根声称大学学费都是她自己交的，爸爸则表示学费其实都是他这个老爸帮忙交的；
二是梅根从怀孕到孩子出生一直没和爸爸联系过，孩子出生后梅根老爸也没见过外孙，甚至连一张照片都没收到，他还是从网上才看到了外孙的照片；
三是他原本希望，梅根当了妈妈后态度会变得更加温和，和他缓和关系，没想到梅根的态度还是一如既往，这让她老爸觉得受到了不公正对待；
四是针对“私人飞机”事件，梅根爸爸也指责女儿、女婿是伪君子。
无论吃瓜群众还是身边亲人，都对哈里和梅根的不满和反感都在不断累积，并且在最近爆发，
媒体成天报道，这些反对的声音自然也传到哈里和梅根耳朵里，
为了挽回形象、摆脱负面舆论，他们已经有所行动，
只不过，两人的应对方法没有达到预期效果，反而再度引发更多的不满。
首先，有媒体曝出哈里和梅根正在美国洛杉矶以西的马里布地区寻找住房，貌似在准备买房搬家，搬到美国生活，
据说查尔斯王储想把赫特福德郡的一块地给哈里，哈里和梅根只惦着快点儿搬家，对此完全不积极。
他们想搬去的马里布地区是有名的富人区，不少好莱坞明星和名流富翁都在那里有房，
比如小李子、Miley Cyrus、Gerard Butler、Kim Kardashian等等。
有知情人表示，他们这样做是因为梅根想家了，
还因为那里名人众多，会分散一部分视线，没那么多人死盯着他们不放。
但在吃瓜群众眼里，去美国买房、准备搬家的做法显然有点儿逃避现实的意思，
最关键的是，英国民众都盯着这次他们买房谁花钱，
之前两人搬出肯辛顿宫，在温莎堡附近的Frogmore宫安家，
为了修缮新家，他们曾花240万英镑装修别墅，这笔钱都是纳税人掏腰包，
这次很多人都表示，希望哈里和梅根在美国买房能自掏腰包，不要再乱花纳税人的钱。
其次，哈里和梅根为了扭转负面形象，最近聘请了好莱坞着名危机公关公司Sunshine Sachs，帮助他们改善形象，
改善的内容包括他们和梅根爸爸的关系，他们夫妇和威廉、凯特夫妇不和的传闻，以及之前的私人飞机事件。
想改善形象本来不算坏事，可他们请的Sunshine Sachs公司却再次带来争议，
该公司的问题就出在口碑上。
它被称为世界上最好的公关公司之一，属于“又黑又红”的类型，
因为这家公司以“暗黑系公关”闻名，公关战绩好是真的，手段不光彩也是真的。
这家公司向来不挑客户，只要肯花钱，口碑好的客户会接，臭名昭着的也不会拒绝，
其名人客户包括Michael Jackson、Ben Affleck、Bon Jovi、Leonardo DiCaprio，Justin Timberlake、Jennifer Lopez、Snoop Dogg、Natalie Portman等等，
被实锤爆料性骚扰丑闻的电影大亨Harvey Weinstein，也聘请过该公司来为自己挽回形象。
而且Sunshine Sachs公司惯用不光彩的方法进行公关，为达目的不择手段。
比如该公司一位高管承认，他曾聘请编辑专门负责编辑客户的维基百科页面，帮客户抹去网上的“黑历史”，服务对象包括Mia Farrow、Sarah Brightman和Naomi Campbell。
请了这么一家公关公司，别说吃瓜群众看不过眼，据说王室团队也颇有微词。
有媒体分析，哈里和梅根之所以找Sunshine Sachs公司，是因为该公司秉承好莱坞作风，战绩一向不错，不受王室传统和规则困扰，
梅根之前就是明星，对这一套公关程序应该非常熟悉。
一位王室内部人员透露，在过去的几个月里，哈里和梅根一直不理睬王室高级团队的建议，
反而听从局外人（好莱坞公关公司）的建议，让王室团队非常头疼。
之前的负面新闻还没摆平，搬家和公关公司再次惹来争议，
哈里和梅根最近真是一波未平、一波又起，
其实比起逃避和公关，彻底扭转形象还要从自身行为开始改变，
不知他们能不能从最近的争议中悟到这一点。
至于事情之后如何发展，他们会不会真的搬到美国躲清静，估计还能继续吃瓜了..........
