钻井设备广义地说，包括用于钻井的成套地面设备、专用的钻井工具和钻井仪表。钻井设备按功用分旋转、提升、循环、动力与传动、控制等系统。旋转系统主要设备是装在钻台井口上的转盘，转动时，通过方钻杆带动钻柱和钻头旋转钻进。当采用井下动力钻具带动钻头旋转时，转盘用来承受反扭矩。提升系统由绞车、井架、天车、游动滑车、大钩、钢丝绳等组成的一套起重设备。绞车主要用于起下钻具、下套管和钻进时控制钻压。井架用于安放天车和悬挂游动滑车、大钩等提升设备与工具，以及起下、存放管柱。天车与游动滑车是一套复滑轮装置，用以减少绞车钢丝绳上的张力,大、中型钻机复滑轮的钢丝绳数一般为8～12股。泥浆循环系统由泥浆泵、高压泥浆管线、水龙带、水龙头、钻柱以及泥浆固控设备等组成。功用是：维持泥浆循环，对井底进行冲洗，将注入的高压泥浆能量传递给井底。泥浆泵从泥浆池吸入泥浆，通过地面泥浆管线、水龙带、水龙头，把泥浆注入钻柱，经钻头水眼冲向井底，携带井底岩屑从钻柱与井壁的环隙返回井口。泥浆泵主要有双缸，双作用活塞式和三缸单作用活塞式两种，后者的优点是排量均匀、压力高、压力波动小、体积小、重量轻、更换易损件方便、维护保养简单。水龙头用以连接可旋转的钻柱和不转动的水龙带，并能维持泥浆循环。固控设备用以清除井中返出的泥浆中的无用固相颗粒。常用的设备有振动筛、除砂器、除泥器、除气器和离心分离机等。70年代末期，开始使用自动配制泥浆系统,与井控装置联用，可对井筒随时进行可靠控制,自动保持泥浆比重恒定。在出现井喷预兆时，能自动调节泥浆比重及其他性能。动力与传动系统包括动力机及传动机组。动力机主要用柴油机、电动机或燃气轮机。传动机组有链条、皮带、齿轮等机械传动、液压传动和电传动几种，把动力传递给绞车、转盘、泥浆泵等工作机。柴油机驱动的钻机有机械传动和液压传动两种，后者具有随工作机负荷变化而自动无级变速和变矩的良好动力性能，在钻机上广泛应用。电驱动钻机在深井和海上钻井中广泛应用。分两类：①柴油机或燃气轮机直流发电机组发电，带动直流电动机,简称直-直流电驱动；②交流电经可控硅整流带动直流电动机,简称交-直流电驱动。两者都具有良好的动力性能。后者优点是：动力分配灵活、装机功率利用率高，由电网供电，不需另配辅助的交流发电系统，经济效益高等，已成为主要发展方向。控制系统使各机组按照钻井工艺需要，协调地进行工作。包括对动力机、绞车、转盘、泥浆泵等的启动、停车、调速、并车、换向等进行控制，方式有机械、气压、液压、电控制等，并向电子计算机控制方向发展。井控设备是用于油气钻井中保证安全钻进的重要设备,包括防喷器、阻流管汇、压井管汇、泥浆-气体分离器等。防喷器用以防止井内泥浆和油、气、水的喷出，防喷器有闸板防喷器、旋转防喷器和万能防喷器等类型，安装在钻台下的井口处，分别用于封闭钻柱与套管之间的环隙或全部井口。此外，还有钻柱内防喷器，用于封闭钻柱内部空间。近代钻井设备都配备数套不同类型的防喷器，组成井口防喷器组，用以控制不同的钻井情况。参考书目华东石油学院矿机教研室：《石油钻采机械》，第二版，石油工业出版社，北京，1982。
