企业库存模型辅助企业管理人员确定计划期内企业生产所需物资的合理订货批量、订货点和订货间隔时间的模型。其目的是在保证正常生产的条件下使库存总费用最少。库存模型分为两大类型。①确定型库存模型：指需求和订货数量均为确定的库存模型，又可进一步按允许缺货和不允许缺货,计算或不计算补充货物所需时间,有无约束条件，以及需求数量与供应价格有无关系等进行分类。②随机型库存模型：又可分为需求量是随机的，订货供应时间为确定的；需求量和订货供应时间均为随机的；以及其他多种类型。经济订货批量模型 经济订货批量模型是确定型库存模型的一种。它是在以下条件下建立的：①需求是连续的、均匀的，需求速度 R（即单位时间需求量）是一常数。②不允许缺货，即缺货时其赔偿费用假定为无穷大。③当库存量降至零时可立即得到补充，即订货周期可以近似地看作为零（库存量变动情况可用下图表示）。④每批订货量 Rt及订货费用kRt不变（k为单位物资价格）。每批订货手续费 C3不变。⑤单位物资平均库存费用 C1不变。根据上述5条件，则两次订货间隔期t内的平均总费用。由微分学可知，若要求C(t) 最小，则当C(t)对t的导数等于零，即求得最优订货间隔期，经济订货批量，最小平均总费用。随机型库存模型 这种库存模型需求量是随机的、离散的,当库存量下降到某一数量I时即开始订货。它是在以下假设条件下建立的：①订货点（即提出订货时的库存量）I已经确定;②单位物资价格为k,一批定货的手续费为C3，当订货批量为Q时，所需订货费用为；③单位物资平均库存费用为C1，单位物资缺货赔偿费用为C2；④需求量为r，已知其概率为P(r),且；⑤库存达到最高水平时的数量为S，即。库存总费用是s 的函数，可表达成：当s 取si值能使总费用C(s)为最小时，下式成立：式中N称为临界值，此时最优订货批量。当需求量和订货供应时间均为随机的、离散的，则可应用蒙特卡罗法来确定最优订货批量和定货点。参考书目李德等编:《运筹学》,清华大学出版社，北京，1982。
