油井防蜡和清蜡防止油管壁上和井底附近的积蜡，以保证油井正常生产。原油中含有不同数量的石蜡,在油层条件下,一般处于溶解状态。原油从井底上升流经油管时，温度、压力逐渐降低，蜡逐渐析出，聚集、积附于管壁，称油井结蜡。它使油管内径变小,影响井的生产能力,严重时使油井停产。不同油田、油层的油井，由于原油性质和含蜡量、温度压力、流动条件和油管表面条件等不同，开始结蜡的位置也不同。自喷井、抽油井或气举井都在某一井段以上（包括出油管线）开始结蜡。在生产过程中，当井底附近油层的温度低，或由于注水，使油层温度降低到结蜡温度时，也会在井底附近或油层内部结蜡。防蜡①向井内注入液态活性剂型的防蜡剂（如石油磺酸钠）或石蜡溶剂等；或把高分子聚合物（如高压聚乙烯）放入井内，微溶于油中,使蜡固体虽能析出,但不能聚集长大，仅散浮于油中，被带出井外。②采用内壁光滑、亲水憎油的玻璃衬里油管或涂料油管，使蜡在管壁上不易积附。采用防蜡措施可以延长油井清蜡周期。清蜡清除管壁积蜡的方法有二：①机械清蜡，自喷或气举井可用刮蜡片或清蜡钻头，抽油井可用抽油杆刮蜡器，定期清蜡。②热力清蜡，用热油或其他热载体循环洗井，将蜡熔化带出井外。此法可用于各种采油方法的油井。井底附近地层结蜡，可采用挤入热油或溶剂（如轻质油）的方法溶除积蜡。其他还有用电热法或热化学方法清蜡的，但在中国很少使用。参考书目王鸿勋、张琪等著：《采油工艺原理》，石油工业出版社，北京，1981。
