模糊决策在模糊环境下进行决策的数学理论和方法。严格地说，现实的决策大多是模糊决策。模糊决策的研究开始较晚，但涉及的面很广，至今还没有明确的范围。常用的模糊决策方法有模糊排序、模糊寻优和模糊对策等。模糊排序 研究决策者在模糊环境下如何确定各种决策方案之间的优劣次序。例如，给定一个模糊序（一个反身、传递的二元模糊关系），或给定一个不传递的普通二元关系，如何近似地排出一个全序；对于有多种指标、多个效用函数的问题，如何利用模糊集合论的方法综合成一个排优次序，多层次的决策问题又应当如何排序。这些问题都已获得初步的解答。模糊寻优 给定方案集及各种目标函数和限制条件以后，寻求最优方案便成了一个优化问题。若目标函数或约束条件是模糊的，这时的最优化就称为模糊寻优。目标函数模糊化的一种途径是以模糊数作为目标函数值，通过模糊数的分析、运算来寻求条件极值。约束条件的模糊化是将约束定义成模糊集合。在线性规划中这样的推广导致模糊线性规划的研究，其结果是使普通的线性规划应用范围更广，能更加灵活地适应各种不同的情况。在非线性规划中有非对称模型和对称模型两种数学模型。①非对称模型：把接受约束作为先决条件，目标与约束二者的地位不是对称的。给定论域 X上的目标函数f(x)和X上的约束条件模糊集合 D，所谓在约束D之下极大化f的最优解M，就是X上的一个模糊子集,它具有隶属函数当等式右端的集合为空集时，μM(x)屌0。②对称模型：把目标和约束两者置于对称的地位。给定论域X上的目标函数f(x)和模糊限制集合D。设 令μF(x)＝(f(x)－m)/(s－m)F是X上的一个模糊子集，其隶属函数与目标函数呈线性关系，称为目标集合，记为μN(x)＝min(F(x)，D(x))(凬 x ∈D)，N 就是对称模型下的模糊最优解。模糊对策 当决策者在对方也有决策的情况下进行决策时，就需要应用对策论。如果双方在选取策略时接受一定的模糊约束，这就需要应用模糊对策论。参考书目D.Dubois, H.Prade, Fuzzy Sets and Systems,Academic Press, New York,1980.
