《古今图书集成·乐律典》中国清朝官方主持编修的一部类书。康熙末期由陈梦雷等编纂。雍正帝即位后，命张天锡重加校编，于雍正三年(1725)编成。全书分为32典，共 1万卷，其中有《乐律典》136卷。所谓"乐律",实泛指音乐（也包括歌诗和舞蹈）而言。《乐律典》分为：总部、律吕部、声音部、啸部、歌部、舞部、钟部、钲部、镯部、铙部、铎部、方响部、钹部、磬部、琴瑟部、琵琶部、箜篌部、筝部、阮咸部、五弦部、管部、箫部、籥部、篪部、笛部、横吹部、笳部、角部、贝部、觱（筚）篥部、笙竽部、埙部、缶部、瓯部、鼓部、鼓吹部、柷敔部、牍部、雅部、拍板部、壤部、笱部、杂乐器部、共43部。这些部可以分为 5类：总部，指音乐概论；律吕部，指狭义的乐律；啸部、歌部，指声乐；舞部，指舞蹈；钟部以下各部，指乐器。43部，因范围大小、资料多寡各有不同，篇幅相差悬殊。书中有插图。资料较多的各部的内容:一般分为6项：①汇考──收录编者认为是"大纲"、"大事"的重要音乐文献。大致按时代顺序加以排列。例如"歌部汇考"项中，引用了《尚书·舜典》语："诗言志，歌咏言，声依咏，律和声。"②总论──收录所谓"圣经贤传"中关于音乐的议论。例如"歌部总论"项中，引用了《礼记·乐记》所载音乐家师乙和孔子的学生子贡讨论音乐的话，主张人们由于性格不同，所唱的歌也应有所不同。③艺文──收录有关的文学作品。例如"歌部艺文"项中，引用了唐代杜甫《赠花卿》诗："锦城丝管日纷纷，半入江风半入云。此曲只应天上有,人间能得几时闻?"④纪事──"圣经贤传"中的音乐文献，大事列入"汇考"，琐细的则列入纪事中。例如"歌部纪事"项中，引用了《左传》所载季札观乐事。春秋时代，吴国公子季札在鲁国欣赏周朝的乐舞，并加以评论。⑤杂录──收录一般书籍所记载的音乐文献。例如"歌部杂录"项中，引用了宋代苏轼《东坡志林》中关于《阳关三叠》的唱法的论述。⑥外编──编者认为荒诞难信的资料，列入此项。例如"歌部外编"项中，引用了《汉武洞冥记》所载方士"闻西王母歌声而不见其形"的故事。《洞冥记》是南北朝时代的一部志怪小说。西王母是神话人物。《乐律典》搜集的资料相当完备，提供了很多古代音乐资料的线索。但编者对资料的选择不精，而分类也有混乱疏失之处。如"声音部"收录了记载各种声音的资料，连宋代欧阳修的《秋声赋》也在内，其中和音乐有关的却极少。又如在乐器各部中列入"鼓吹部"，也是不适当的。"鼓吹"是古代的一个乐种，而不是乐器名。虽然鼓吹部也涉及鼓、钲、箫、笳等，但这些乐器已分别见于他部。《乐律典》也和封建统治阶级编修的其他音乐书籍一样，缺乏最珍贵的历代民间音乐资料。
