进出口商品结构一个国家或地区在一定时期内，各类进出口商品在其对外贸易中所占的比重。分类 由于各国进出口商品种类繁多，为了划一商品分类方法，联合国对国际贸易商品通常按《国际贸易标准分类》（简称SITC）划分为两大类，一类是初级产品,另一类是工业制成品。初级产品类包括:①食品及主要供食用的活动物；②饮料及烟类；③非食用原料（燃料除外）；④矿物燃料、润滑油及有关原料；⑤动植物油、脂及腊。工业制成品包括:①化学品及有关产品;②按原料分类的制成品（包括钢铁、有色金属、纸张和纺织品等）;③机械及运输设备;④杂项制品（包括鞋、服装和家具等）。中国的进出口商品除按《国际贸易标准分类》划分外，还有自己习惯的分类。出口商品有的是按农副产品、轻工产品和重化工业产品三大类划分，有的是按工矿产品、农副产品加工品和农副产品三大类划分。进口商品一般是按生产资料和生活资料两大类划分，生产资料包括生产性原料和机械设备；生活资料包括吃穿用的消费品。结构变化因素 一个国家进出口商品结构的状况主要是由该国的经济发展水平、资源情况和对外贸易政策所决定。广大的发展中国家由于经济不发达，出口一般是以初级产品为主，进口是以工业制成品为主，这是长期以来帝国主义对发展中国家剥削和掠夺的结果。经济发达国家通常是以工业制成品出口为主，进口则以初级产品为主。第二次世界大战前，初级产品在国际贸易商品结构中的比重一直超过工业制成品。战后，从1953年起，工业制成品所占的比重超过了初级产品。60年代以后，随着科学技术的发展，国际分工和专业化进一步扩大和深化，工业制成品在国际贸易总额中所占的比重进一步上升。1963～1973年期间，工业制成品比重由52％上升至62％，而初级产品则由48％下降至38％。1973年以后，随着石油价格和其他初级产品价格的上涨，初级产品所占比重有所上升，但工业制成品在国际贸易的商品构成中仍占主要地位。1982年,工业制成品占57％,初级产品占43％。在工业制成品贸易中，又以机械产品贸易增长速度最快，50年代约占世界出口贸易额的1/5,60年代约占1/4，70年代以来已占1/3左右。今后，随着世界产业结构的变化，世界市场工业制成品贸易，特别是机电产品的贸易将继续增长。中国的状况 中华人民共和国建国30多年来，随着国民经济的发展，中国进出口商品结构发生了显著的变化。建国初期，初级产品在出口总额中约占80％，工业制成品仅占20％，到1985年初级产品出口下降至54.2％，工业制成品出口上升至45.8％。在初级产品出口结构中，农副产品所占比重明显下降，矿物燃料的比重增加，其中主要是石油及其制品出口有较大幅度的增长。在工业制成品中，纺织品出口迅速增加，重化工业产品中的机械设备出口也有明显增长。在进口商品结构方面，建国以来除少数年份外，变化不大。60年代以后，生产资料进口约占70～80％，生活资料约占20～30％。在生产资料中，新技术、成套设备和机电产品进口所占比重有减少的趋势，由50年代约占进口总额的50％下降到1985年的31.9％；而生产性原料，如钢材、铁砂、铜、铝、木材、天然橡胶、化工原料等的进口不断增加。在生活资料中，主要进口粮食、食糖和动植物油等。
