抗旱型草坪草——“基因蓝”“基因蓝”草是近年美国推出的一种优秀转基因蓝色羊茅草,具有较强的耐旱性,能在干旱的沙砾土及瘠薄的盐碱土壤中生长,耐寒性也很强,抗病虫害。该草的显著特点是,播种苗初期呈豆绿色,成熟后慢慢由绿色转为蓝色,成丛直立生长,有强大的地下根系。叶子呈松针状,整株形成自然的圆球形,每墩草最多叶片可达800片以上,最少也可达到400多片,最大冠径可达60厘米左右、最小的冠径也有20厘米。因具有直立丛生的特性,尤其适用于护坡、路基及干旱地区。可成片种植,也可分散或组合种,修剪成多种形状,非常适宜作为花卉镶边植物,也可盆栽。“基因蓝”草对环境条件要求不高,土壤pH值在6至8.8之间均能适应。分栽时需适当在苗床内施入有机底肥,但量不宜过大,可将苗整墩挖起,抖掉宿土,用利刀从根茎处切开,每苗带10至15条根,以25厘米株行距栽种。栽完一定要浇足定根水,3天后再浇一次水,待水完全渗透后进行松土保墒,加强田间管理。播种时需要把播种地整平,不要施基肥。苗床宽度1.5米即可,长度随意。播种密度每平方米180粒左右,撒种要均匀,用细沙混合干土,均匀覆盖在草种上,厚度3至6厘米,然后进行滚压,并立即进行雾化喷水,保持播种床面湿润,要精心护理到幼苗出土。待长出20片叶时,选阴天将幼苗移栽到大田培育,或者直接种到绿地。成活之后的“基因蓝”草不需要浇更多的水,自然生长即可达到预期效果。该草繁殖可在春、秋两季播种或分栽。春季于4月中旬至5月上旬播种。秋季在8月中旬至10月上旬播种,播种与分栽亦可同步进行。(源自《中国花卉报》.07.20)
