无形资产（intangibleassets）无形资产同有一个严格的定义专指专利权、商标权、版权、专营权、商誉、土地使用权、专有技术等类似的资产。它具备无实物形态和长期性两个基本特性并表现为以下个具体特征；（1）其未来收益具有高度的不确定性；（2）由于竞争环境的影响，其价值易于波动；（3）其是否有价值只针对某一特定企业而言；根据不同标准可对无形资产作不同的分类从存地在形式，可分为可辨认无形资产与不可辩认无开资产。前者是可以企业单独辨认的，如专利权、版权、商标权、专营权等；后果是由不可脱离企业单独辨认和计价的因素所形成的，典型的就是商誉。（2）从形成来源可分为外购无形资产与自创无形资产。前者是从企业外部以一定代价购入的无形资产，从计价角度看，所有者出资方式投入的无形资产也在此列；后者是在企业内部自行开发形成的。确认无形资产首先要满足资产的定义，核心是未来的经济利益；因此，注册商标、取得专利证书只是确认无形资产的必要条件，并不构成充分条件。此外，作为资产，其未来经济利益是可以确定的，否则应确认为费用；因此在实践中外购无形资产因其支出及其未来经济利益容易确定而确认，自创无形资产不由相反的理由不予确认。无形资产的计价一个困扰已久的问题，理应按照其取得时的历史成本计价，但是，不可辨认无形资产与企业整体资产联系一起，无法区分并确定其成本；为此，便以其收益，即有形资产的收益与企业整体资产收益的差额作为计价基础。无形资产的使用寿命是有限的，其成本应当在使用其内系统合理地摊销。确定无形资产的使用寿命，应录考虑以下因素：（1）法律、法规或合同规定的最高使用；（2）某一无形资产所涉及的权利的展期；（3）过时、客房需求、竞争、技术进步等原因的影响；（4）无形资产的经济寿命与某些雇员寿命的关系；（5）竞争对手、管理机构和其他部门的行动；（6）经济寿命无限，收益不能合理确定；（7）有不同经济寿命因素构成的无形资产。即使充分考虑估计为意想不到地长。如商标可以展期为无限期，估计为100年也许不为过。我国有些企业的土地使用权可长达70年。有些无形资产的可能估计得过于短。为限定无形资产不合理的摊销，一些国家的公认会计原则规定了无开资产的基本年限，如美国规定摊销最长年限为40年，我国规定最低年限为在实际工作中一般采用直线法摊销无形资产成本；核算时可设置备抵账户，也可以直接冲减无形资产账户如果有证据表明无形资产的市场价值低于其账面价值，应将其调整为市场价值。转让无形资产转让是指因无形资产的出售、投资等行为而发生的所有权或使用权的转移。如果转让所有权，则应注销无形资产账户，将其账面成本转为费用。如果是转让使用权，则无须注销账户。无论是何种转让，其收入均为其他业务收入。
