湖北经济学院财政与公共管理学院湖北经济学院财政与公共管理学院下设财税系、公共事业管理系及地方政府绩效评价中心，同时拥有专业资料室、电子政务实验室、财政税收实务实验室等教辅机构，开办了财政学、公共事业管理、行政管理三个本科专业。，财政学学科被评为校级重点学科，目前正在积极申报省级重点学科。公共事业管理学科建设也在原有基础上有了很大进展。各学科点的发展呈现出良好的趋势。财政与公共管理学院拥有一支学历层次高、学术力量强、治学严谨的师资队伍，形成了以学术带头人为骨干，科研学术分子积极参与的研究群体，现有专职教师27名，正教授3名，副教授6名；硕士、博士20名（博士6名,在读博士2名），其中，博士生导师许建国教授长期致力于财政、税制研究，出版了多部专著，在全国权威期刊上发表学术论文数十篇，多次获奖，1992年获"霍英东教育基金会青年教师奖",1998年被评为"财政部跨世纪学科带头人"。财政与公共管理学院依照湖北经济学院以“教学带动科研，以科研促进教学”的原则，取得了一批较高水平的科研成果。近3年来，学院教师累计出版学术专著及教材40余部；公开发表论文200余篇,承担省部级、校级课题30余项，获得各类科研奖励20余项。为了造就新世纪“高级应用型”人才，学院全体教职员认真贯彻教书育人、管理育人、服务育人的办学理念，注重提高学生的专业水平和实践能力，同时加强学生的综合素质的培养，近三年来本院的毕业生就业率在学校一直名列前茅。
