轻集料也称轻骨料,一般指松散容重小于1000公斤/米3的多孔集料。它主要用以配制轻集料混凝土、保温砂浆和耐火混凝土等,还可用作保温松散填充料。轻集料按其形成条件分为天然轻集料和人造轻集料;按其材料性质分为无机轻集料和有机轻集料(如聚苯乙烯膨珠、碳珠等)。有机轻集料因价格较贵,应用较少。无机轻集料按其原材料来源分为:①天然轻集料。如浮石、火山渣和多孔凝灰岩等。②人造轻集料。如粘土陶粒、页岩陶粒、膨胀珍珠岩、膨胀蛭石、沸石轻集料等。③工业废料轻集料。如粉煤灰陶粒、膨胀矿渣珠、煤矸石陶粒、自燃煤矸石、多孔烧结料、煤渣和碎砖等。中国的天然轻集料资源丰富,特别是东北、华北地区及海南岛等地蕴藏量很大。天然轻集料开采方便、生产能耗小、价格低廉。开采后有的不经加工,有的经破碎、筛分后即可使用。人造轻集料生产工艺较复杂,需经原材料加工和焙烧等多道工序,质量较好,但能耗较大。工业废料轻集料的生产,有的与天然轻集料相似(如自燃煤矸石、煤渣和碎砖等);有的与人造轻集料一样,需经制粒和焙烧(如粉煤灰陶粒、煤矸石陶粒等),但其能耗较人造轻集料低。轻集料与普通集料相比,其性能有很大不同。衡量轻集料质量的主要性能指标是松散容重、筒压强度和吸水率等。影响轻集料性能的主要因素是材料品种、生产工艺或形成条件、孔隙结构、颗粒形状和级配等。一般说来,轻粗集料的松散容重为300~1000公斤/米3,仅为普通粗集料的1/4~2/3,但强度较低,吸水率也较大,价格较高。研制廉价的、轻质高强的人造轻集料是发展轻集料的主要方向。(见彩图)参考书目中国建筑科学研究院建筑结构研究所编:《轻骨料混凝土的研究与应用文集》,中国建筑工业出版社,北京,1981。
