中国科学技术情报研究所重庆分所中国科学技术情报研究所的分支机构，1960年12月25日建于四川省重庆市，简称重庆分所。重庆分所主要是以情报检索服务为中心，以数据库建设为基础，重点开发技术信息，为西南地区科技发展和经济建设服务，其任务是：①根据西南地区经济建设和科技发展的需要，重点收藏综合性科技、新兴技术和实用技术等方面的文献资料；②编译出版检索类和技术类科技情报刊物；③研建有关能源技术、计算机技术、情报科学文献数据库以及苏联、东欧国家科技发展事实数据库，编制西南地区外文科技期刊联合目录；④开展科技情报检索和国际联机检索服务；⑤承担国家委托的情报调研任务，针对地方科技与经济发展的需要，开展综合性调查研究；⑥开展信息咨询与定题服务；⑦组织情报教育与培训工作。1988年重庆分所职工人数为594人。该所有4个情报研究室：生物农医室、工业技术室、计算机室、能源技术室。还设有计算机应用开发中心、技术开发中心、信息咨询中心、情报干部培训中心、文献馆等机构。重庆分所馆藏文献：外文科技期刊 1.5万种、中文科技期刊6000种、专利文献 700万件、标准文献19万件、产品样本说明书 6.4万份、图书 31 万册、检索工具书1300种、各种手册2.8万册、缩微胶卷 7000盒、缩微平片 7.3万张；重庆分所现有微型计算机8台、IBM4381－M11计算机1台，国际联机检索终端机2台。重庆分所在今后工作中将逐步发展成为面向西南的情报检索、情报咨询和情报干部培训基地和苏联及东欧国家科技情报发展研究中心。
