自由主义神学自由主义神学LiberalTheology近现代基督教新教的神学思潮。19世纪末至20世纪30年代盛行于欧洲和北美。思想渊源可追溯至德国浪漫主义神学家施莱尔马赫的以感受为出发点和基础的宗教观。主要特征在于从神学中排除形而上学和思辨的影响，注重人的理性、感觉、道德责任和价值观；强调宗教的实践性；侧重于用历史的观点和方法去研究《圣经》，提出了“从信条中的基督，走向历史上的耶稣”；赞同从道德的、社会进步的方面来解释基督教教义，因而主张冲破传统教义的束缚，对《圣经》采取批判的开放态度；注重上帝的内在性和人性一面等等。德国神学家里敕尔的思想对自由主义神学有巨大的影响，由于德国主要神学院在19世纪末都由其门生所控制，利奇尔主义遂成为第一个自由主义神学学派。其著名的追随者有威尔海姆·赫尔曼、尤利乌斯·卡夫坦、阿道夫·哈那克等。在美国，自由主义神学的代表有饶申布什和富司迪等人。随着20世纪30年代以后新教的新正统神学和存在主义神学地位上升，自由主义神学逐渐丧失了在新教神学界的主导地位。
