微观经济学微观经济学microeconomics经济学中与宏观经济学相对应的一个组成部分。以市场经济中单个经济单位的经济行为为研究对象，分析单个生产者(或厂商)如何以有限的资源从事生产，耗费最低的生产成本，并获取最大限度的利润；单个消费者(或家庭)如何把有限的收入用于消费，从而获取最大限度的满足。由于把单个生产者和消费者的行为作为分析研究对象，考察与这些行为有关的经济范畴及其数量变化，又称为个量经济学或个体经济学。现代微观经济分析从19世纪边际效用学派开始，20世纪代前，英国经济学家马歇尔作出了较为全面系统的论述，奠定了现代微观经济学理论的基础。30年代，不完全竞争理论和无差异曲线分析的出现又使微观经济学逐步成为比较完善的体系。微观经济学的主要组成部分有均衡价格理论、消费和生产的优选行为理论、市场理论、分配理论。①均衡价格理论。分析市场中供给和需求如何决定商品的价格和销售数量。均衡价格指商品的需求价格和供给价格互相一致，即达于均衡时的价格。均衡价格理论综合了生产费用论、边际效用论和供求论，是西方经济学的价值理论。②消费优选行为理论。即消费者均衡理论。以资源稀缺和消费者收入有限为前提，用无差异曲线与预算线相切之点说明消费者行为的最优境界。③生产优选行为理论。即生产者均衡理论。以边际收益（每增加一单位产品所增加的收益）等于边际成本（每增加一单位产品所增加的成本）作为生产者耗费最低成本获取最大利润的原则，分析生产的成本和收益，决定生产的最佳规模。④市场理论。即厂商均衡理论。分析完全竞争、垄断竞争、寡头垄断和完全垄断等市场模型，研究厂商在不同市场上关于商品价格和产量的决定，说明不同市场在资源配置上的不同效率。⑤分配理论。亦即要素价格理论。把劳动、资本、自然资源(土地等)和企业家才能看作基本生产要素，用均衡价格等分析方法研究各要素价格，即工资、利息、地租、利润的决定，说明收入在不同要素所有者（工人、资本家、地主、企业家）间的分配。微观经济学以均衡价格为理论核心，力求说明完全竞争是最理想的境界，资本主义分配是合理的。
