农田水利学农田水利学irrigation and drainage engineeringnongtian shuifixue农田水利学(irrigation and drainageengineering)研究农田灌溉、排水和土壤改良的原理、方法与设施的科学。农田水利学涉及水、土壤、作物的相互关系以及工程设施、自然资源和生态环境的相互关系，是一门综合性的应用技术学科。农田水利学是中国的专业术语，在欧美一些国家称为灌溉排水学，苏联称为水利土壤改良学。发展简史农田水利学是古老的学科之一。人们在长期的生产实践中研究和解决农田灌溉和排水问题所逐渐积累的经验，是农田水利学形成的基础。公元前2()00年前后，中国、埃及、印度以及古代的巴比伦等国己经有了修建灌溉排水系统的实践经验。中国春秋战国时期已经有了农田水利技术经验的文字记载，如《荀子·王制》中对于灌溉排水系统作用的说明，《管子·地员》中对于土壤、水分和作物种类与产量关系的闸述，《吕氏春秋·任地·辨土》中对开沟平地、冲洗盐碱等改良土壤技术的论述。两千多年前修建的都江堰工程，在水利规划、工程技术和管理制度等方面都丰富了农田水利学科的内容。19世纪以来，世界L农田水利有了较大的发展，到1980年，全世界的灌溉面积已达32亿亩，有排水设施的面积达23亿亩。在农田水利灌溉事业的大规模发展中，农田水利学也进一步得到丰富与提高，同时，籍助于近代有关学科的理论与知识，逐渐形成现代的农田水利学。研究内容农田水利学包括以下主要内容:①农田水分及盐分的运动规律。研究农作物耗水、土壤饱和与非饱和的水分运动及其溶质的运动，探求水、土壤、作物之间的相互关系，用以制订合理的灌排制度，控制适宜的土壤水分和地下水位，调节土壤的水、肥、气、热状况，改良土壤，以利作物高产稳产。②灌排技术，研究输水到农田并合理进行灌溉以及排出农田多余水分的技术设备。包括地面灌概(沟灌、畦灌、格田灌)，喷灌、滴灌和地下灌溉以及明沟排水和地下排水等、③灌排工程，包括为灌溉而修建的蓄水、引水、输水.抽水的工程和有关的设备，为排水兴建的容泄区、输水和抽水的工程和有关设备。④灌排系统的运行管理与维修养护。⑤灌排工程项目的经济分析与评价农田水利学除了与构成水利基础科学的一些学科有紧密的联系外，还与以下一些学科有关:农作学、土壤学、气候学、地下水动力学、环境水利学以及水利经济学等。此外它还从计算机科学、系统工程学等现代学科中吸取新的成果来充实和发展自身的内容。发展趋势中华人民共和国成立以来，经过大规模的农田水利建设，全国的灌溉面积已达7.2亿亩.具有排水设施的面积已达2.6亿亩。
