近义短语的用法与区别
1. again and again & over and over一次又一次，反复
异同之处：again and again和over and over意思是“一次又一次，再次”，在句中作状语修饰动词，表示动作的重复性。同义短语还有over and over again, time and again。
例1：Its bike prices have to be lowered again and again. (12月四级)
其自行车的价格不得不一次次地下降。
结构分析：Its bike prices是主语，have to be lowered是谓语（被动语态）， again and again是状语。
例2：The black driver played the same songs in his car over and over.
黑人司机在车里一遍又一遍地放着同样的歌曲。
结构分析：The black driver是主语，played是谓语（play 的过去式），the same songs是宾语，in his car是地点状语， over and over是状语。
2. all day & all day long整天
异同之处：all day和all day long都表示“一整天，全天”，在句中作时间状语，修饰动词，同义短语还有all the day。
例1：All she does is staying in her room all day. (6月四级)
她所做的一切就是整天待在房间里。
语法点：“all+sb do/does/did”结构可用在句首作主语，谓语动词一般用单数。
例2：And giving small children sweet drinks or bottles of fake juice all day longis nothing less than child abuse. (12月四级)
整天给小孩子喝甜饮料或者瓶装的假果汁无异于虐待儿童。
作业动词短语：arrive in & get to到达异同之处：arrive in和getto后面要跟具体的地点。需要注意的是arrive at也可以表示“到达”，它与arrive in的区别在于，arrive in后面跟大一点的地方，如国家、城市，而arrive at后面跟很小的场所，如饭店、广场。
例1：In early 1994, when Mark Andreessen was just 23 years old, he arrived in Silicon Valley with anidea that would change the world. (6月四级)
例2：Will it take me long to get to the museum that opens to the public recently? (12月六级)
