[说明] conversation 指两个或两个以上的人互相交换意见或看法，也指平常的聊天在内。 dialogue 比conversation更为正式，作“对话”解时，尤指对话体的作品、戏剧中的对白、小说中的对话；作“谈话”解时，指有意见的双方进行交换意见。如：
Can you understand the short dialogue between Hamlet and the gravedigger?（你能理解哈姆雷特和掘墓人之间的那段简短的对白吗？）
2．Wearing shabby clothes, the young man was laughed at by the shop assistant . Knowing that the young man was a millionaire, the shop assistant smiled with satisfaction. 由于衣衫破烂，那个年轻人受到了店员的嘲笑。当店员知道他是一个百万富翁后，又满意地笑了。
[说明]Laugh和 smile都有“笑”的意思。 laugh 指出声地大笑，多作不及物动词用。laugh at含有贬义，指“嘲笑”。 smile 是指不出声的笑，常表示愉快、亲切、友好等。
